Recipe to End Hunger

Thursday, August 28 at 6 p.m.
This month's cooking demonstration, dinner and winetasting features Mandy Parkhurst, chef at In the Raw, where sushi is an art. The menu includes Negi-Ma, which an appetizer of grilled steak and onion, assorted sushi rolls as a main course and Animitsu with Green Tea Mousse, a frozen mixture of agar jelly, sweet bean paste, bits of chopped fruits, syrup and ice cream. Cost is $50. The event is held monthly in the Culinary Center of the Food Bank, located at 1304. N. Kenosha Ave. Space is limited. Make a Difference Day

For the first time ever, the American Red Cross, Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma and Goodwill Industries of Tulsa are coming together on this national day of helping others to help those in need in our community. You can make a difference by donating food, clothing and blood and you can do it all in one place! Donations will be accepted from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Clear Channel Parking Lot, 2625 S. Memorial. Call 1-800-GiveLife for an appointment to donate blood on this day.
